The gift of getting things wrong

Most people only talk about their wins. But the truth is, my most important lessons came from the ones I didn’t get right.

Most people only talk about their wins. But the truth is,

my most important lessons came from the ones I didn’t get right.

The partnership that had potential but lacked character. The property I pursued that turned into a money pit.

The opportunity that cost too much time for the money. T he deal I chased that violated my peace. Getting it wrong hurt — but it also helped. It helped me slow down. It helped me ask better questions.

It helped me learn to spot red flags earlier. It helped me honor and protect what matters most.

I’ve learned to be grateful for the fire — because it taught me how to lead with more faith, more focus, more kindness, and more follow-through. Lesson: When you’re building something that lasts, don’t fear the gift of getting it wrong. Embrace it. Use it. Learn from it. Let it refine you. And then come back — stronger.
